Life Hacks: Drink More Water

THE PROBLEM

As the weather warms up, you’re spending more time outside running, biking, and sweating in the hot sun. You know you should stay hydrated, but it’s hard to remember to drink water during your busy day.

THE HACK

Here’s how to drink more water without even trying:

EAT WATER-RICH FOODS:

Snack on foods like melon, strawberries, pineapple, cucumbers, and celery. These fruits and vegetables are more than 90 percent water.

CARRY A (FUN) WATER BOTTLE:

It’s easier to drink water if you always have it with you. Toss a reusable water bottle—with a tight-fitting lid—in your backpack. Make it your own with charms, stickers, or paint.

MAKE WATER MORE INTERESTING:

If you find the taste of water boring, try these flavor-boosting additions: lemon or lime slices, mashed-up berries, mint, ginger, or even a splash of fruit juice. Now it’s a drink to look forward to!
