Lesson Plan: How Can I...Keep My Cool?
Each month, we’ll equip your students with the knowledge to master one essential life skill. This month is all about stress, and the Q&A will introduce your student to mindfulness, a healthy coping technique to help them stay calm in the moment.
CLASSROOM ACTIVITY: LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER
After reading the story, lead students through the relaxation exercise outlined by the expert. Then, have them answer the questions on the Discussion Guide handout and talk about their answers as a class. You can also choose to set a classroom goal, where you pledge to dedicate the first minute of every period to practicing mindfulness!
