Life Hacks: Time It Out

THE PROBLEM

You waited until after dinner to get started on your English essay. Now you’re in a time crunch . . . and feel overwhelmed by all the work. How will you get it done tonight?

THE HACK

Step One:

Break your work into chunks. Set a timer for 20 minutes, and get started on your essay.

Step Two:

When the timer goes off, reset it for 5 minutes. Spend this time getting a snack, taking a dance break, or doing something else relaxing.

Step Three:

Repeat the cycle of 20 minutes of work/5-minute break until your essay is finished. Don’t forget to reward yourself when you’re done. We knew you could do it!
