Take a Gratitude Break
If you’re a polite person (and we know you are!), you probably say “thank you” dozens of times a day. But how often do you stop to feel truly grateful? Taking a moment to acknowledge all the positive things in your life doesn’t just feel awesome—it’s actually good for both your mental and physical health. And it’s easy! Here are some ways to do it.
1. Start a gratitude ritual.
Each night, ask everyone at the dinner table to share one thing they’re grateful for. You could also have your friend group send a gratitude text once a day. Or set a daily reminder on your phone to take a gratitude break.
2. Keep a gratitude journal.
Every day, note a few things you’re grateful for. They could be big things, like your health, or less serious things, like pizza.
3. Write a gratitude letter.
Is there a favorite teacher, coach, grandparent, or friend who’s been important in your life? Let them know! Jot down how much they mean to you.
