In CAREER ADVICE, students should imagine they are helping a friend who is considering a career in orthodontics. Students should be able to answer the questions, “How can someone become an orthodontist?” and “What are the benefits and challenges of being an orthodontist?” Have students review the article for information on how someone can become an orthodontist and write down a list of pros and cons. Based on these notes, they should write a short e-mail to their imagined friend containing words of advice.
