PREPARING TO READ

Before you read the article “Your Summer Survival Guide,” ask your students the following pre-reading question:

READING AND DISCUSSION

In SUMMER SURVIVAL PSA, elicit feedback from the class to create a list of summer health risks from the article. Once the list is complete, have students divide into small groups, and assign a topic from the list to each group. Students should use a mix of information learned in the article as well as outside research to create a TikTok-style PSA video to help the class master summer survival.
