Ask Choices: Your Burning Questions, Answered
Is It OK to Not Have a Crush?
Dear Choices,
A lot of my friends have crushes on people. They always want to know if I like anyone. I like a lot of people but not in a romantic way. Is there something wrong with me if I don’t have a crush yet?
Signed, Frustrated in Florida
Dear Frustrated,
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with you! Your friends may be ready for romance, but that doesn’t mean you have to be. You’ll know when the time is right. Meanwhile, don’t forget to appreciate these other, just as rewarding, types of love.
Love, Choices
1. Love of Friends
Let your pals know you’re grateful for them with a friendly note or text.
2. Love of Family
Give a shout-out to your parents, siblings, or other relatives on social media.
3. Love of Self
Jot down three qualities you most like about yourself. Look at your list often!
