Lesson Plan: A User’s Guide to a Great Night’s Sleep
If you’re like most teens you’re—yawn—not getting enough sleep. Read on to learn the secrets of a super snooze.

Before you read the article “A User’s Guide to a Great Night’s Sleep,” ask your students the following pre-reading question:
How do my habits contribute to or detract from a good night’s sleep?
Have your students read the article “A User’s Guide to a Great Night’s Sleep” independently; read the article out loud to them; or have students partner-read the article out loud.
After they’ve read the article, revisit the pre-reading question. Have their answers changed?

Then, they’ll choose one snooze-inducing new habit to incorporate into their bedtime routine for a night. Have students share the next day about how their great night’s sleep made them feel.
